You may already know Megan's work from Quilter's Home and Generation Q, or from her blog "The Bitchy Stitcher." Well - long story short, Megan has published a book of essays, anecdotes, tales and stories about what it's really like to be a quilter - no, like, seriously what it's like - and the results are truly hysterical! The book includes some of Megan's previously published pieces you know and love as well as two brand new essays for the book. Megan also gives insight throughout the book as to how she came up with the piece - - I guarantee you, if you're a quilter, you can relate.
Megan's book is on sale now here, available in paperback or PDF/Kindle formats. You can read through a bit of the book with the "Look Inside" feature and check it out for yourself.

My proudest "finish" of the year is finally, after cutting the initial pieces 8 years ago (I know!,) finishing the top to the quilt I started for our king size bed. My husband bought the kit for Christmas in 2005 and has waited patiently while I get my act together :)
Finally finishing a quilt for my mom, who is awesome. It's been a lot of work and a lot of fun so it'll be great to be done! Thanks for the chance to win!
I finished my first 100% free motion quilted quilt this year! No walking foot, not even on the long straight lines (or not so straight sometimes!)
I've just finished up my first year of quilt guild meetings. What a great source of inspiration for my brain!
I finished a huge king size quilt done on my domestic machine. It helps to have a wide harp space, but it was a real challenge none the less
I finally made a lined tote bag. Next will be to tackle a bag with a zipper.

I actually did a stitchalong on my blog this year, an embroidery pattern every month, and yesterday I finished up the binding making them all into a mini quilt! I'm proud I actually completed my vision! This book looks great
my proudest finish is free motion quilting a little housewarming gift throw for a friend. New at free motion and the used machine I bought. Broke the thread over and over, broke maybe 20 needles! I could use a laugh with this book! Merry Christmas to all
My big finish this year was a twin size English paper pieced scrap quilt. Took a full year to do it, and I am thrilled with the result! Merry Christmas and thanks for the giveaway!
My big finish was a wedding quilt for my niece! I only just got it finished in time for the big day!
My almost twenty year old son finally seemed interested in my making him a quilt so I just finished a queen size quilt for him for his first apartment.
My proudest finish this year was quilting a top I made 2 years ago, and leaving in the bad stitches from a broken machine and just going on with it. Big deal for me, to let go of it and just enjoy the piece for its pure quiltiness - and it really didn't turn out all that bad!
My proudest moment? When I finished 13 of 14 "Resolutions Projects" this year for guild. I would love a copy of this book. Thank you for the opportunity.
Finished cutting the pieces for my first quilt. Then had to take a break to finish a couple of knitting projects for Christmas. But as soon as the last piece is finished and blocked, it will time for Momma to try her hand at quilting.
My proudest finish was making my first quilt! My daughter had wanted a tshirt quilt for awhile and I kept putting it off as I had never quilted before. I finally took the jump into you tube and blogs and found such helpful, and funny advice. It's been so much fun enjoying the blogs and finally getting that quilt made. Now I'm hooked! :)

I bought a new sewing machine this year and am determined to learn to FMQ.
I only have one "finish" this year a plus wall hanging but lots of starts… Does that count?

My proudest finish was a quilted hexagon pillow. The quilting technique was new to me and it turned out well. Finishing a pillow and having it look nice was also new :)
My proudest moment was actually selling 3 of the baby quilts I'd made! Money to buy more fabric. :)

I finished my first ever quilt - a Project Linus one. It's not perfect but then I didn't expect it to be. I hope some kids just enjoys it and loves it until it's all worn out.
